Blizzard Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Retrospective

Blizzard is one of the greatest development studios of all time and anyone who has played any other games know why. Next to BioWare, Valve, and Rockstar I consider them to be one of the elite developers in the industry.

Blizzard was started in February 1991 and since then have created some of the most highly regarded and franchises in the industry. They are of course well-known for the MMO, World of Warcraft, but the Warcraft series extends far beyond that famous title. They are also behind the Diablo series, an action role-playing series started in 1996 (and I'm still waiting for Diablo 3).

They are also well-known for the StarCraft strategy games the first of which is one of the revolutionary titles in the Real-Time Strategy genre primarily for its use of separate factions. And it's expansion, Brood War, was also well-received. Many feel that StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, released last year has arguably the best multiplayer experience imaginable.

And so as Blizzard has decided to officially mark its 20th anniversary with a retrospective, here's the link: Blizzard Retrospective.

And I say, happy anniversary Blizzard and thank you for 20 years of greatness and here's hoping for many more.
